Can a Child Qualify for Medicare?

Overview

Medicare can cover children with health conditions. Medicare can also cover children younger than 18 if they have been diagnosed with terminal stage kidney diseases [1]. In some cases, children between the ages of 20 and 22 will also be covered by Medicare if they have social security disability insurance. A child needs to have parents who have worked for social security work credits in the past 3 years or parents who have social security benefits. In most cases, Medicare mostly covers people older than 65 years. However, the company may decide to make some changes.

Adults with various health conditions can also be covered by Medicare if they have social security disability benefits.
