How Long Does It Take for a Medicare Application to Be Approved?

Your plan will send a letter to your mail after reviewing your application. This mail will tell you if your application was accepted or not. The letter will also explain why your application was accepted or denied.
Medicare sends a white, red, and blue card to everyone whose application was accepted. The card will display your Medicare number, name, and when each plan starts, and the Medicare plan you’re enrolled in. Your card will be sent to you three weeks after applying for Medicare. Your cards should always be on you anytime you’re out of home. If you want to get a replacement card, you can log in to your MyMedicare.gov.
