You have to understand the differences between private insurance and Medicare to know which plans will work best for you.
Medicare plans
There are usually two major parts that can be found in your coverage anytime you apply for Medicare. They include:
- Part A, or hospital insurance: This insurance pays for inpatient care. It also covers hospice care, limited skilled nursing facility care, and limited home healthcare.
- Part B, or medical insurance: This plan pays for outpatient visits and services. It also covers preventive healthcare services.
