8 Natural Remedies for Dogs with Seasonal Allergies

Mushrooms

Mushrooms contain beta-glucans, which are very helpful in improving allergy [4] symptoms. Ensure that the mushroom is well cooked or dehydrated before serving them to your dog. Raw mushrooms can be unhealthy for your pet and may cause serious health problems. Note that not all types of mushrooms contain beta-glucans. Reishi, shiitake, cordyceps, turkey tail, and maitake mushrooms are excellent sources of beta-glucans.

Cook them well and shred into dog food or boil them in water to make broth. For better results, medium-sized digs should eat 400mg to 500mg of mushrooms once or twice per day.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is one remedy that you are sure to already have in your kitchen cupboard. Add water to form a paste and apply it on itchy or reddened parts of the skin. Leave for a few hours for it to dry off completely before rinsing. You will find this remedy to be a cheap and effective treatment method.
