8 Natural Remedies for Dogs with Seasonal Allergies

Herbs

Nettle herbs are highly nutritious and a good diet option for seasonal allergies. Dry the herbs, and pour into hot boiling water to make tea. Or, sauté fresh nettles in a pan with MCT oil until soft, then add to your dog’s food. You can give your dog daily drops of nettle tincture in the amount of 2 drops per 10 lbs of your dog’s body weight. You can also put cooled-off nettle tea into a spray bottle and ally on your dog’s skin to relieve itching or as a rinse for itchy eyes.

Chamomile tea can be used to treat digestive diseases like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) caused by seasonal allergies. It can be administered orally to fight symptoms from inside out or topically for skin health. Boil the chamomile leaves in water and let them cool off before giving them to your dog. Soak the feet in a bowl of cold tea to relieve itching or irritation.
