10 Possible Health Benefits of Green Tea

Protects the skin from damage and skin cancer

In cancer prevention research, a study was published in February with the use of mice. The green tea polyphenols in water were exposed to the mice. The result showed a repair of previously damaged skin by UV rays, but this experiment isn’t confirmed to have the same effects on humans yet. Skin conditions like eczema and general warts are preventable and treatable with green tea.

Antiviral compounds

Green tea contains antiviral properties like catechins which are powerful antibacterial agents that make them very essential and effective in treating several infectious diseases like the common cold, chickenpox, and influenza (flu). Green tea may not be able to prevent you from getting a viral infection, but it may help lower the gravity of damage that it could cause.
