Chronic Inflammation: What Is It, Causes, Treatment & Prevention

Diagnosis of chronic inflammation

There is no specific test that is used to diagnose Inflammation. But some blood tests, such as those that focus on C-reactive protein (CRP), which denotes infections or inflammation throughout the body (such as the joints), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), which denotes inflammation of the heart, are a good place to start.

Many people don’t receive a diagnosis of chronic inflammation until they are already suffering from another illness. It is important that you consult your doctor if you believe you are displaying any of the typical signs of chronic inflammation. Your healthcare provider will know the first step to take when it comes to chronic inflammation.
