Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is one major complication of Dengue fever that has its own symptoms. At first, the symptoms may be mild, but they gradually worsen as time goes on. The major symptom of DHF is internal bleeding. If you start to experience this, you should immediately seek medical treatment.

Other symptoms of DHF include:

  • Internal bleeding that can lead to vomiting and stooling
  • Clammy skin
  • The number of platelets in the blood reduces
  • The lymph and blood vessels experience some damages
  • Bleeding from the gum, mouth or nose
  • Weak pulse
  • Sensitive stomach
  • Blood spots under your skin

It is important that you do not grin and bear DHF and immediately seek medical help. DHF can be fatal if not promptly treated.
