Mild Symptoms of Dengue Fever
Some of these mild symptoms are what is usually mistaken for other illnesses like flu or another viral infection. They include:
- Severe headache
- High fever [2]
- Eye pain
- Vomiting and feeling nauseous [3]
- Pain in the muscles and joints
- Skin rash that can disappear and reappear
- Fatigue
These mild symptoms are mostly on younger children and people who have never had the infection before. These symptoms usually disappear after a week and rarely involve serious or fatal complications. However, if not urgently treated, easy problems can develop severe symptoms, such as Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and Dengue shock syndrome (DSS).
