Foods to Avoid

The following foods tend to aggravate symptoms of H. pylori infection and the diseases associated with it.
Acidic Foods
You should limit your consumption of acidic foods if you have an H. pylori infection. Acidic foods do not affect the H. pylori in your gut directly, so why should you avoid them?
Many people with H. pylori infections eventually develop stomach ulcers, but not many of them are aware. This is often the case if the infection is mild or moderate since serious stomach ulcers are hard to ignore. If you have a stomach ulcer and take a lot of acidic foods, you might worsen this ulcer.
Some acidic foods have good health benefits and not everyone has the same reaction to them. [13] Pay attention to how you feel after consuming foods rich in acid. Be careful about acidic foods such as citrus fruits, sodas, tomatoes, and refined carbohydrates like white bread and processed cereals. [14] If they make your symptoms worse or cause you any intestinal discomfort, you should limit their presence in your diet.
