Causes of Copper Deficiency in Infants

Copper deficiency in infants has been traced to too much consumption of cow milk instead of formula. This is because cow’s milk has a low copper content. So, it is most recommended that children below 1 year old should be breast fed and if not, fed manufactured formula. Cow milk is not ideal and does not have the required nutrients for a human infant.
