Chemotherapy
Hypochloremia and other electrolyte imbalances can also be caused by chemotherapy treatment. Chemotherapy can lead to the following side effects:
- Prolonged diarrhea or vomiting
- Sweating
- Feever
These side effects may also lead to loss of fluids. Fluid loss that occurs due to diarrhea and vomiting is also responsible for electrolyte imbalance.
