How to prepare for lung needle biopsy

There are certain things to consider and do before you under a lung needle biopsy. Firstly, it is important that you tell your doctor if you are pregnant, might be pregnant, or have had a recent illness.
You should also inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking, both over the counter and in prescription. Your doctor might instruct you to stop taking some medication for a period of time before your procedure. Such as:
- Certain blood thinners, like warfarin
- Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) [5]
You will be informed of the time and location before the procedure. And maybe told to not eat or drink anything for at least 6 to 8 hours prior to the procedure.
