Avoid oral intake

Any oral consumption of neem products should be approached with extreme caution, if not avoided altogether.
In certain instances, giving neonates neem oil at doses of 0.18-1.06 ounces (5-30 mL) resulted in serious poisoning.
Similar to this, one individual who ingested 2.1 ounces (60 mL) of neem oil displayed neurological and psychotic symptoms.
Even if a study on animals found no hazardous effects at doses as high as 2.27 grams of neem per pound (5 grams per kilogram) of body weight, these findings might not apply to people.
Additionally, anecdotal proof connects drinking too much neem leaf tea to kidney failure.
