Some companies have a hygiene policy in place for the protection of employees and company image, especially if you have a public-facing role. Proper hygiene is very necessary for certain jobs. For example, if you work in the food industry or healthcare, a lack of proper hygiene would be putting everyone you come in contact with in danger.
