What does poor hygiene mean?
Poor hygiene can be broken down into two different categories, which include:
- Personal hygiene
- Environmental hygiene
Both categories are dangerous to one’s health and the people around them. Here are examples of other kinds of poor hygiene.
Poor personal hygiene:
- Not brushing your teeth regularly
- Not bathing your teeth regularly
- Not washing your hands before or after you handle food
- Not washing your hands after using the toilet
Poor environmental hygiene:
- Not regularly cleaning areas that breed bacteria, such as the bathroom and kitchen
- Lack of proper storing and cooking of food
- Not doing laundry often
- Lack of regular disposing of garbage
