How Healthy Bathing Habits Vary

Bathing or showering frequency can be altered depending on circumstance and body type. There are certain group of people that should bathe less often, they include;

  • Babies
  • People who work indoors at a desk
  • Those with skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis
  • People committed to conserving water
  • People with sensitive skin

Bathing every day is best for these group of people:

  • Children or adults that get dirty regularly
  • People with jobs that require strenuous physical activities
  • People that live in humid areas
  • People that work out regularly

Excessive cleaning of the body is probably not a compelling health issue. However, it could make your skin drier than it would be with less showering and it is not a public health menace. However, showering every day does not improve your health, it can cause skin conditions and other related health issues and essentially waste a lot of water. There are oils, presumes and other additives in shampoos, conditioners and soaps can cause problems of their own, such as allergic reactions.
