Trial Period
Don’t buy a hearing aid without first trying it out. It may take some time to get used to the device and decide if it’s the right fit for you. Most hearing specialists offer a 30-day to 60-day trial period and some offer even longer. Get a written description of the cost of the trial and what will happen if you return the device during the trial period.
For a device that will considerably change the quality of your life it won’t hurt to try a couple samples before deciding your pick. You should practice using the hearing aids in different environments as amplified hearing will sound different in different places. It is a good idea to go back for a follow-up test to know if you’d need any adjustments to the hearing aid.
