Green Stool

High amounts of bile and little to no amounts of bilirubin are likely causes of green-colored poop. High intake of green foods like spinach, kale, and the like can also cause the poop to be green (although this can be considered normal when seeing hints of green). Taking iron supplements and food coloring, which have a blend of dye blue, purple, and green, can also be a major reason for feces turning green or emerald in color.
Occasionally, pregnancy can also be a reason for the occurrence of green stool. Also, health situations that tend to speed up the rate of intestinal activity, such as food poisoning and bowel disorders, can result in green stool.
