Wrap the sore muscle or joint with 50 percent tension and 50 percent overlap and leave it for only 1-2 minutes. If you keep it on for a long time or you make it too tight it can cut off circulation. In most cases, people mix it into their recovery routine. Wrap for a minute or 2 and move around a bit, then floss again.

You need to know that there is a difference between a little post-workout soreness and frequent pain. If the soreness continues even after voodoo flossing, then you need to see a doctor or rehab professional.
