Other beta-blockers

Carvedilol shouldn’t be used with other beta-blockers. This combination may reduce your heart rate and blood pressure too much. Examples of other beta-blockers include:
- acebutolol
- atenolol

- metoprolol
- propranolol
Calcium channel blockers
If you take a calcium channel blocker with carvedilol, your doctor will watch your blood pressure and heart rhythm. Examples of these medications are:
- diltiazem
- verapamil
- Diabetes drugs
Using carvedilol with some diabetes medications can make these diabetes drugs reduce your blood sugar levels further. If you take these diabetes drugs with carvedilol, you’ll need to check your blood sugar regularly. Examples of these drugs are:

Transplant rejection drug
Using carvedilol with cyclosporine may elevate the levels of cyclosporine in your body. Your doctor may reduce your dosage of cyclosporine and observe you closely.
