Dosage for Panic Disorder

Dosage for adults (people between 18 to 64 years)
- Normal first dose: 0.25 mg used twice daily
- Dose increases: Your doctor will recommend higher doses like 0.5mg to be used twice a day every three days
- Highest dose: 4 mg daily
- Dose reduction: Your healthcare provider will reduce your dosage if your condition is better. The dosage will be reduced to 0.125 mg every three days
Dosage for Children (between 0 and 17 years)
More research needs to be done to confirm the effects and safety of clonazepam on children below 18 years old.
Senior Dosage (ages 65 years and older)
As you grow older, your kidneys become more weak and more unstable. As a result, your body may start to process drugs slowly. This causes a large number of drugs to remain in the body for a longer period. Your body then becomes more prone to several side effects. Your doctor will constantly reduce your drug dosage to prevent accumulation of drugs in the body.
