Dosage for Infection

Dosage for adults between ages 16 and 64:
Normal dosage: 200 mg on the first day. Take 100 mg twice after every hour. After the first day, take 100 mg every day. For more serious conditions, you should take 100 mg every 12 hours.
Dosage for children who weigh lower than 99 pounds (45 kg), have life-threatening diseases, like Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and are older than 8 years old:
Normal Dosage: on the first day, the prescribed dosage is 4.4mg/kg. It is usually divided into two doses. After the first day, the daily dosage is 2.2 mg/kg, which can be administered as one dose or divided into two daily doses.
Children who weigh higher than 45 kg (99 pounds) can use the same dosage as adults.
