Natural Remedies

There are several things that can be done to reduce the symptoms of this condition. They include;
Eat a balanced diet
You should focus on eating healthy foods like the Mediterranean diet. Eat foods that are known to reduce inflammation, such as olive oil, walnuts, colorful fresh veggies, cold-water fish, flaxseed and pumpkin seeds. And you should avoid foods that may cause inflammation such as fatty red meat, refined sugar, diary product and processed food.
Exercise
You lose the urge to move when your joints are sore. However regular movement can do the following:
- Make your joints and tendon loose
- Reduce the inflammation associated with this disease
- Reduce the workload on your joints
- Reduce the chances of having any other disease such as heart disease, diabetes and Crohn’s disease.
Maintain a healthy weight
Studies show that over 50 percent of the people with psoriatic arthritis are overweight. People that lose at least 10 percent of their weight can enhance their body’s response to psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Manage your stress
Stress can exacerbate the condition. You can indulge in exercise, medication and talk therapy to make things better. You should also rest well; it helps to relax the affected joints. You can continue your daily activities when you feel better
Avoid drinking
You must stay away from alcohol. People that use psoriatic arthritis drugs with alcohol can cause liver damage. You should seek advice from your doctor.
