Avoid receiving a “live” vaccine when taking rituxan. The virus can spread and cause a serious infection. Do not take live vaccines like nasal flu (influenza) vaccine, zoster (shingles), varicella (chickenpox), yellow fever, typhoid, rotavirus, rubella (MMR), mumps, and measles.
