Allergic Reaction
You may experience several allergic reactions when you use Stelara. Some of the symptoms of moderate allergic reaction are:
- Skin rash [5]
- Itchy skin
- Warmth or redness in the skin
Doctors rarely observe severe allergic reactions. Some of them are:
- Swelling beneath the skin, mainly in the eyelids, feet, lips or hands
- Swelling of the mouth, throat or tongue
- Breathing difficulties
You must call your health care provider immediately if you notice any of these symptoms.
Side Effects Observed in Children
Several studies show that children older than 12 years diagnosed with plaque psoriasis can take Stelara for improvement. Recent studies also showed that the effects observed in children are the same as those observed in adults with plaque psoriasis.
