The dosage of Stelara prescribed to you by your doctor depends on the following factors:

- How much you weigh

The State and Strength of the Drug
Stelara is most active in liquid form, and it contains the generic drug known as Ustekinumab. It can be prescribed in these ways:
- One dose and a syringe that contains about 0.5 mL of solution and 45 mg of Ustekinumab
- One nose and a needle that contains1 mL of solution and 90 mg of Ustekinumab
- One dose with a glass vessel containing 0.5 mL of solution and 45 mg of Ustekinumab
This drug is administered as an injection to the fatty layer beneath the skin. You can receive it in the upper part of your arm, stomach, thighs, or buttocks.
You don’t have to go to the hospital to take Stelara injections. You can learn how to administer the drug yourself from your doctor to do it at home or anywhere you feel comfortable. It would help to know that the drug is also available as a glass vessel that holds 130mg of Ustekinumab. The ship is used to inject Stelara into your veins for a particular period(intravenous infusion). It can only be used once and is given to patients with ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s s condition. The use of vials is described as a one-time infusion which is also known as an “induction dose” or a “loading dose”. The infusion will be done for over an hour and each dose is administered in the fatty layer under the skin (subcutaneous layer).
