Before taking this medicine

Tremfya is not safe to use for someone that is allergic to guselkumab or Polysorbate 80.
Talk to your doctor if you have ever had tuberculosis or if anyone in your household has tuberculosis. You should also let your doctor know if you have traveled recently. Tuberculosis and some fungal infections are more common in certain parts of the world, and you may have been exposed during travel.
Before you commence treatment with Tremfya, your doctor may perform some tests to ensure you do not have tuberculosis or other infections.
To make sure that Tremfya is safe for you, let your doctor know if you have:
- An active or chronic infection
- Active tuberculosis infection that is not being treated
- If you have recently received or are scheduled to receive any vaccine.
- Make sure you are on all vaccines before you start treatment with Tremfya
It is unknown whether guselkumab will harm an unborn baby. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or plan to be pregnant.
If you are pregnant, your doctor will write your name on the pregnancy registry to track the effect of guselkumab on the baby.
It is also not known whether guselkumab passes into breast milk or if it will affect the nursing baby. let your dictator know if you are breastfeeding.
Tremfya is not approved for use by anyone younger than the age of 18.
