Echolalia

Echolalia [3] is a condition where people repeat the phrases or noises that they hear. Individuals with this condition may have effective communication problems because they aren’t able to express their thoughts. Tourette syndrome differs from echolalia since it doesn’t involve yelling or saying random things while communicating. Echolalia causes a repetition of phrases and noises that have been previously heard, either immediately or delayed. This condition could result in frustration during conversations, muteness, and depression. Individuals with echolalia may feel irritable when questioned. There are two major categories of echolalia, which are interactive and non-interactive echolalia. The interactive echolalia involves verbal completion, which describes a state where they say words they are used to hearing to reply or complement themselves.
