Antibiotics

Antibiotics are drugs that are designed to kill bacteria. They are usually recommended in combination with anti-parasitic drugs for better treatment [3] results. The common antibiotics used in the treatment of malaria, include doxycycline, tigecycline, clindamycin, azithromycin, and co-trimoxazole. The main advantage of using antibiotics together with anti-parasitic medication is the less-expensive medical cost. Most of the approved antibiotics are pocket-friendly and widely available.

These drugs work to fight infections when the plasmodium grows resistant to the standard anti-malarial drugs. Antibiotics are a good combination with anti-malaria results because they serve different purposes and work together to combat the disease.
