Coffee

Coffee consists mainly of two important components that enhance the function of the brain; these two components are caffeine and antioxidants. The caffeine in coffee helps to raise alertness by hindering adenosine. This chemical sends information responsible for feeling sleepy to the body, releasing neurotransmitters such as dopamine responsible for happy feelings. [1] It increases the attention span of the brain. People who consume coffee are at a lower risk of having neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s than people who don’t. This is due to the presence of high levels of antioxidants in coffees.
