Seeds and Nuts

Nuts and seeds contain omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, so when consumed, they enhance the function of the brain. Nuts and seeds are rich in vitamin E [3] that shields the brain from stress resulting from free radicals. The risk of experiencing oxidative stress increases with age. Therefore consumption of nuts and seeds helps support the brain structure and function at an older age. Vitamin E also helps enhance the brain’s cognitive status and decreases the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. [4] Examples of nuts and seeds that have elevated levels of vitamin E are; sunflower, almonds, and hazelnuts.
Peanuts
Peanuts are very nutritional, and they are examples of legumes characterized by the presence of unsaturated fats and proteins that provide high energy levels for people who consume them. They consist of important vitamins (vitamin E) to make the brain function properly and minerals (resveratrol) responsible for improving the communication between brain cells. Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant that is present in mulberries, peanuts, and rhubarb. Research has shown that resveratrol protects the body from neurological diseases.
