Head injuries
Reports have shown that persons who suffered a head injury can later develop recurring vertigo. A few days after surviving a high-impact accident to the head, you may experience a concussion for a few days or up to a few weeks. In some persons, dizziness may persist months or even years after the accident occurred. This can develop into a chronic health condition that reduces the quality of life and interferes with normal living.
Neck injuries
Injuries to the neck can also cause vertigo. Bad neck posture, trauma, and poor head and neck alignment can trigger frequent episodes of lightheadedness or dizziness. A whiplash injury or a pinched nerve in the neck are commonly associated with vertigo.
