Compression socks or stockings

Compression stocks are used to apply pressure to the foot or leg to reduce the inflammation and enhance blood flow. They extend to the upper thigh. Compression socks have higher pressure around the foot and less pressure higher in the leg, this prevents accumulation of blood in the lower extremities. A 2017 research observed 1,681 people before and after having surgery, they discovered that only 9 percent of people who wore compression stockings before the surgery or the day of the surgery developed blood clots. 21 percent of people who didn’t wear compression socks developed blood clots. This research proved the importance of compression socks in treating clots in the leg.
