Use Eye Drops

Eye Drops [4] sold over the counter may be helpful, since they function similarly to your own tears. There are numerous distinct brands. In order to make them last longer, some have preservatives added, but using those too frequently can irritate your eyes. There are other non-preservative eye drops and heavier ointments available. If these are necessary or if something else would be more beneficial, your doctor can tell you.
Drops that reduce redness [5] don’t work for dry eyes because they can eventually aggravate your eyes more.
It is important to ensure you are using a brand of drops that your doctor approves of and not just any you see on the counter.
