Hemifacial Spasm

Hemifacial spasm may be indicated by eyelid twitches that only affect one eye. This neuromuscular condition is typically brought on by a blood vessel pressing too hard on one of your face’s nerves.
Usually, one eyelid twitches erratically at first. One eye may eventually close and the mouth may turn to one side as a result of the spasms.
Hemifacial spasms have the potential to eventually impact every muscle on one side of the face.
Hemifacial spasms are more common in women than in men, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. Asians also have a higher prevalence of the illness.
