When to consult a doctor

If the heel discomfort lasts longer than two weeks or if the person experiences:
- heat, tingling or numbness in the heel, and excruciating pain with swelling close to the heel
- walking as usual with difficulty
- Difficulties dipping or tiptoeing the foot
If heel pain lasts for more than a week or if it bothers the individual even when they are not standing or moving around, they should see a doctor.
