Tiredness & Extreme Fatigue

Patients often experience feeling drained by fibromyalgia or feeling weighed down. Small stretches of active energy are normal (such as for 24 to 48 hours), only to relapse into feeling exhausted and tired all over again. For others, fatigue from fibromyalgia is more of an impairment than pain, since it can greatly affect the quality and standard of life. Exhaustion can make it very hard to maintain or advance a career, make social plans, and keep them, or engage in the milestones of life, such as family gatherings and important events. In effect, a lack of social contact may lead to a feeling of loneliness or depression [8].
