Food Options for Gallbladder: Allowed and Avoid Foods List

Low-Fat Foods

Always choose low-fat dairy products over high-fat ones. Skim milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, and sherbert are some of the common low-fat dairy products that are highly nutritious. There are some healthier alternatives for your red meats, fish, eggs, such as beans and pulses. These protein sources do not pose a threat to your overall quality of life.

Ensure you limit the foods that are high in fats and sugars. You should also cut off saturated fat from your diet to avoid chronic health conditions. Saturated fat products include butter, ghee, cheese, meat, cakes, biscuits, and pastries. You should also avoid fatty meats, greasy or fried foods, and foods with rich, creamy sauces. Do not fret about having to cut yourself off all your favorite meals because, after a full recovery, you will be able to eat these foods in careful small portions.
