Fever and Night Sweats

A fever is an abnormal rise in body temperature. This increase in temperature may be mild or extremely high. Fevers have a wide range of causes that typically aren’t clear from the onset.

People who have HIV infections tend to experience long periods of mild fever [10]. This hardly causes any interference with normal life, so most people ignore it.

Night sweats [11] may accompany this fever. Night sweats is the term for excessive sweating at night. It is an incredibly uncomfortable condition that can interfere with sleep. It typically affects women in menopause, but it can also happen due to HIV infection.
