OTC Painkillers

You can use over-the-counter painkillers or anti-inflammatories to reduce pain associated with tendon injuries. OTC drugs such as aspirin [3] and advil offer somewhat of a pain-relieving effect. However, these drugs will not help much if it is a severe injury. Contact your doctor if you experience severe pain in the affected tendon. Your doctor will prescribe drugs that will help you get through the first week of recovery.
Red Light Therapy
RLT is a new therapy that helps with injury treatments. Red Light Therapy involves using an RLT device to push red light waves into your skin. The red light penetrates a few millimeters below the skin. It enters the ligaments and the muscles in the affected area.
