Omega-3 EFAs

Omega-3 essential fatty acids (EFAs) are present in different types of food. Some of the foods with the highest amounts of EFAs are high-quality oils, nuts, and wild-caught salmon. There is extensive research on the anti-inflammatory effects [4] of omega-3 EFAs on the body. Studies show that consuming three to nine grams of fish oil regularly has an antiinflammatory effect on the digestive system. This reduces the amount of systemic inflammation.

A healthy diet also plays a significant role in improving tendon injury. Studies have shown that people who consume vitamin C are more likely to recover faster than people who don’t. This is because vitamin C facilitates the production of collagen [5], a connective tissue that helps strengthen the tendon. Consuming vitamin C [6] regularly facilitates the repair of tendon and ligament injuries.
