How to Treat Pancreatitis?

Pancreas Surgery

Doctors may go for a treatment procedure that involves the draining of fluid from the pancreas to remove diseased tissue. This procedure is focused on the fluid-filled sac that forms in the abdomen called the pancreatic pseudocyst. This pancreas surgery involves the endoscopic drainage of the pseudocyst. In this medical procedure, a tube is inserted into the mouth and throat. After the insertion, it’s maneuvered through the esophagus, stomach, and then the duodenum till it reaches the pancreas. Through this procedure, the organs can be seen on a screen connected to the camera in the tube. Aside from the endoscopic drainage of the pseudocyst, doctors may undergo external drainage.
