Sepsis Stages and Symptoms

Difference between Sepsis and Septic Shock

While sepsis is your body’s unregulated response to infection, septic shock is the impairment of the cardiovascular system caused by it. At that time, the patient is no longer able to maintain adequate blood pressure and needs medication (vasopressor) to normalize it. This condition is called septic shock, which is considered serious and even increases the risk of death.

Can you prevent it? Yes. And the best way to do that is to educate yourself about what the disease is, learn to recognize its symptoms, especially if you are part of a risk group. In addition, protect yourself from infections by adopting healthy lifestyle habits and personal hygiene.
