Regarding Pain

In a National Cancer Institute-funded study [4] from 2011, specialists examined the effects of reflexology treatments on 240 women with advanced breast cancer. For their malignancy, all of the women were receiving medical care, such as chemotherapy.
According to the study, reflexology was effective in easing several of these symptoms, including breathlessness. Additionally, the participants noted a rise in their quality of life. However, it had little impact on pain.
The effects of reflexology on pain in women who are suffering from premenstrual syndrome (PMS) [5] have also been studied by experts. In an older study, 35 women who had previously reported experiencing PMS symptoms [6] were examined to see how ear, hand, and foot reflexology affected them.
It was discovered that those who received two months of reflexology experienced fewer PMS symptoms than the women who did not. However, note that this was a small study and done many years ago.
Larger, long-term studies are needed to completely understand the effect of reflexology on pain.
