Understanding Baby Overstimulation: Why It Happens, Signs and How to Soothe It

When to See a Doctor

If your baby feels overwhelmed, you have nothing to worry about. However, persistent overstimulation can lead to other conditions such as sensory problems [5] or autism. You need to see a doctor if the following things happen to your child;

  • Your child’s behavior disrupts everyday routines.
  • Your child is unable to stand moving.
  • Your child’s reactions are too difficult to manage on your own.

You must visit your doctor regularly to monitor the development and improvement of your child. If your child does not experience the required development, your doctor will recommend other treatment methods.
