- Place your neck in line with your spine and look up.
- Put your weight on your upper shoulders, not your head or neck.
- You should not tilt your neck from side to side or look in a different direction when your feet are over your head.
- You can put your hands beside your hips if you cannot put them on your spine.
- You should bend your knees gently for ease and better comfort.
- Place your chin against your chest, to apply little pressure on your chest.
- Try not to push your weight into one side more than the other.
- Activate your shoulder and arm muscles to avoid applying excess pressure on your neck.
- You can press your toes into the floor to stretch your spine or intentionally make your back look round. This done to align the spine
- Your hands should remain on your back for support even if your toes don’t touch the floor.
