Supported Reclined Butterfly Pose

A great substitute for Savasana, or Child’s Pose, is Supta [2]. Start breathing in and out while lying on your stomach with one hand on your abdomen and the other on your heart. You can feel your heartbeat as your body sinks into the ground and your hips start to open.
You can use a yoga bolster or pillow to provide additional comfort and relaxation. Lay the bolster lengthwise (top to bottom) on the mat; you’ll recline back onto it to support your spine.
A yoga block [3] placed underneath each knee will allow you to fully relax your hips without the stretch becoming too intense, which is another nice method to gain more stress-relieving support in this posture.
