Fire hydrants are also used to build the glute muscles. You can start on all fours. Place your knees beneath your hips and your hands beneath your shoulders. Then, flex your right foot and raise your right leg away from your body. Push yourself up as high as possible and remain in that position for a little period. Go back down and do the process again. You will feel the tightness in your glutes while raising your leg.
