Rack Pull: Benefits, Techniques and Considerations

Decrease injury risk

Every compound exercise comes with risks of sustaining certain injuries. Rack pull is not an exception, there are certain injuries that can be sustained if done without appropriate monitoring. However, rack pull also helps to reduce the risks of several injuries when done appropriately. It also helps people recovering from injuries. This is because the initial position of the rack pull is a little higher than the common deadlift, allowing people do the lift in a more upright position and decreasing lateral stress, also called shearing force, on the spine. These attributes make rack pull an effective method in reducing the risks of sustaining injuries and prevents exacerbation of existing injuries.
